Don’t turn away to follow worthless things that can’t profit or deliver you; they are worthless. 1 Samuel 12:21

Everyday there is an effort made to distract you from God’s purpose for your life. The devil uses this world to entice the lusts of your flesh to draw you away from God. It’s a subtle veering off course at first. It’s just a small change that is followed by other small changes until one day you are way off course. Remember it all starts with the first compromise, the first surrender, the first time of prayer missed, or any other first.

We have to guard our hearts with vigilance. The enemy of your soul never sleeps or gets weary of tempting you. Stay alert in all things and watch for the enemy. Your Savior and Redeemer is mighty to save and deliver you out of every trap laid in your way. We are told to “Watch in all things.” The best way to stay alert to what the devil is trying to do is to keep your eyes on Jesus. When our vision is filled with the eternal we will spot the dangers.

Hebrews 12 mentions the race we are running. You must remember that your race is uniquely yours. Which means you don’t compare your life and purpose with that of another. Keep your focus on Jesus Who is the Author and Perfecter of your faith. Your life is a testimony to the Grace of God which others desperately need to see. Anything other than God’s will and Purpose for your life is worthless and without profit. Keep pressing forward in Praise, worship and revelation knowledge of the One Who is the King!

Jesus is LORD!
