Joel 2:25 “So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, The crawling locust, The consuming locust, And the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you.”

There are times in which I fully regret things I’ve done in life. No matter how much regret I have, it doesn’t change the fact it happened. Were it not for the Grace of God those memories would keep me depressed. Life doesn’t have an erase feature. But the God of all Grace can restore the years of loss and bring blessing. God promised this to Israel concerning the locusts that He sent for their sin. When Israel repented the restoration began.

The restorative work of God is complete and thorough. As long as you are open to Him the work continues. The depth of your sin doesn’t limit the restoration. The key is to stay yielded and walking in fellowship with Him. Restoration is a deep work that transforms us from the inside. He heals the wounds of sin and turns the memory into a monument of praise. Only God can do this. Grace doesn’t just cover the past. Grace transforms the past.

Never doubt the promise of God. He will restore to you the years the locusts have eaten. The years of sin and rebellion will be restored to years of praise and worship. The years of aimless living will fade as your life is built on Christ. You will see a different person looking back from the mirror. The day will come when you find yourself filled with nothing but praise and amazement over the God of all Grace Who restored your life.

Jesus is LORD!
